Directions

Callan from Dublin
Travel south out of Dublin, connecting with the M7 motorway. Continue on the M7 to Junction 11 and proceed onto the M9 (signposted Kilkenny). Continue onto N9, taking the exit after approx 80km in total (from M7). At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto N10. Follow signs for Callan, turning onto Callan Road /N76. Continue to follow N76.

Callan from Cork
Follow the signs out of Cork City for the M8 / Dublin and take the motorway (partial toll road) as far as Junction 10. At junction 10, take the N24 exit to Luimneach/Limerick/Port Làirge/Waterford/An Chathair/Cahir. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto N24 heading to Luimneach/Limerick/Port Láirge/Waterford/Tiobraid Arann/Tipperary/R639/Loch Ceann/New Inn/R670/An Chathair/Cahir. You will proceed through 9 roundabouts, continuing for 23.5km. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto N76 heading to áth Cliath/Dublin/N9/Cill Chainnigh/Kilkenny. Continue the remaining 4km on the N76 to Callan (signposted). Journey time approx 1h 40m.

Callan from Kilkenny
Via the N76 Callan Road, the journey time from Kilkenny to Callan is approximately 18 minutes, covering 16.5km. From Kilkenny City Centre, follow the road to Patrick Street, turning onto the Ormonde Road, continuing straight through the traffic lights and onto the College Road. Continue past Hotel Kilkenny, taking the second exit on the Callan Road Roundabout. Follow the N76 to Callan.
